This is a story that has special significance for me. The sale of Lloyd & Rebecca’s land was my first sale as Woods Estate Agents and I am indebted to them for their trust in me.

Lloyd & Rebecca had a dream

This case story typifies the perfect ingredients that go towards incredible outcomes. It’s fair to say that Lloyd and Rebecca had bitten off more than they could chew with the purchase of some land and a vision to transform it into an income producing venture. With a young family and the demands of their own residential home, the vision had become more of a weight on their shoulders and it wasn’t making them happy. I commend their bravery to admit this, no-one wants to give up on a dream, but they knew that if they didn’t, life would continue to niggle at them; this was not what they wanted.

The motivating factor was to be debt free and to be more present in their children’s lives. Their goal: to move themselves out of Victoria towards the Sapphire Coast. Over the space of 18 months, they worked astutely to improve their two properties - the land in Hoddles Creek and then their Olinda home.

They chose to invest energy and money where it would count; first impressions (who doesn’t love a Dulux Domino exterior paint job?), fixing up practical items (a sealed driveway in the hills is as close to heaven as you can get), renovating the kitchen (a big YES!), paring back the clutter and curating the rest. The creation of an ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom was key in propelling the potential sales price for the home in Olinda northward.

The vendors’ kept their goal front and center throughout their journey and did not waver from the vision of ambitious numbers on the final contract of sale. It was this, combined with our collaborative approach, aspirational photography and the Woods Estate welcoming and respectful manner with prospective purchasers that saw both properties sold in excess of the asking price.

If the stories and posts on Lloyd & Rebecca’s social feeds are anything to go by, they made their dream a reality becoming part of the Sapphire Coast community and loving life with their two young sons alongside.
